A Helping Hand: Support for Special Needs Families

We offer medical support such as access to medication and routine doctors visits as needed. We also offer therapy sessions and training here at the ministry clinics. We enjoy our time with the parents, speaking a truth rooted in love to reassure them that having a special needs child is a gift. We strive to provide holistic therapy where we can start working on small goals such as feeding habits, increase of mobility and play therapy, making it feasible for parents at home. Our facilities grant us the opportunity to have parents stay with their child, with wheelchair accessible rooms and bathroom. Throughout their stay, we spend time with the children, teaching different therapeutic activities and pouring our love over them.

Maternal Support: Prenatal and Lactation Support
At our clinic, we are dedicated to setting the foundation for a lifetime of health by focusing on the critical period of the first 1,000 days of life, starting from conception. Our mission is to tackle the root cause of malnutrition through educational support. During monthly visits, we provide guidance on proper nutrition for both pregnancy and lactation, ensuring mothers understand how their dietary choices drastically impact their child's future, either positively or negatively. We understand that many of these precious children may not have regular access to a doctor. A part of our program involves teaching parents to identify key indicators of well-being: outlining what a healthy baby looks like and, what the warning signs of an unhealthy baby are. To support this journey, we also provide essential supplies during their visit, including prenatal vitamins, maternity and infant clothing, and other immediate needs.
Village-to-Clinic: Specialized Medical Care for Remote Patients
Aside from general community support, a core part of our mission is to address individual medical cases. We identify and transport patients from remote villages who typically have had no prior access to medical care, mainly suffering from chronic illnesses that require specialized intervention, such as surgery or consultation with a specialist. We provide support, including supplying all necessary medication and managing all doctors' visits to ensure the patient fully understands and can adhere to their medical treatment plan.
